Effective

lymphatic care

Mailloux Method Lymph Drainage MMLD® is a specialized approach to lymphatic care developed by LymphLAB®. Through 3 decades of clinical practice grounded in principles of lymphatic anatomy and physiology, LymphLAB® provides MMLD® therapy.

drainage history

Founded in 1995, MMLD® expands upon the work of Drs. Vodder who established MLD in 1932. Through decades of clinical application, observation + refinement, MMLD® advances the evolution of comprehensive multisystem lymphatic care.

MMLD® integrates lymphatic techniques with LymphLAB® clinical Interstitial exchAnge Matrix IAM® principles to support fluid dynamics, tissue integrity, and lymphatic efficiency—intrinsically reducing the development of lymphatic inefficiency or fluid imbalance.

drainage program

Assessment informs application. Individualized evaluation reveals patient-specific tissue presentation, fluid dynamics and physiological function to guide precise MMLD® application.

The recommended initial MMLD® program begins with a series of 3 drainage sessions scheduled 2 weeks to 2 months apart. The necessity for monthly, quarterly, or annual follow-up care is determined by the health history and needs of each individual.

“Regenerative medicine cannot advance without recognizing the essential relationship between the lymphatic, nervous + vascular systems in preserving and restoring tissue integrity.”

Assessment Informs Application

Under-recognized in physiological significance, the lymphatic system is a crucial component to tissue health and the body’s circulatory, neuromuscular, elimination, and immune functions.

MMLD® is a non-invasive, pressure-specific, manual therapy technique performed over clothing. MMLD® is designed to gradually increase and decrease lymphatic pressure throughout the body.

Lymphatic care must be performed by a specialty-trained lymph drainage therapist to ensure safe application and reliable results. Contact LymphLAB® for a consultation.

drainage intention

Drainage techniques are performed over fabric, wear comfortable exercise-type clothing. Each session consists of full body lymph node + lymphatic organ stimulation.

Accelerated lymph drainage begins during each session and as tissue reorganization takes effect; one can feel and observe differences in tissue efficiency immediately. Absent a fluid imbalance, each drainage session builds upon the prior session.

drainage results

Due to the vast intricacies of lymphatics, we address burdened and damaged tissue safely, without generating friction. One can anticipate potential increased urination and elimination for 24-72 hours.

Be prepared to rest up to 12 hours following each drainage session to maximize tissue reorganization. With improved tissue efficiency, acute + chronic misleading symptoms are revealed.

“The time is NOW for the incorporation of manual drainage therapy as a standard of medical care – specifically neurodegenerative care. The power of stimulating lymphatic + glymphatic functions can no longer be dismissed.”
