Tribal Business Model
One of the key reasons why Briana and I strive to keep the prices low on both our services and products is that we operate under what we refer to as a Tribal Business Model.
I can almost hear you now. "What in the heck is that?"
If we reduced our population to a large tribe or a small village and transported us to an earlier time, all of our priorities would change. Instead of focusing on ourselves, we'd focus on each other and the tribe or the village as a whole. We'd consider our impact on the environment and whether our endeavors were sustainable. What would rapidly happen as our priorities began to shift is that we would find ourselves living in balance with each other and the world around us. Instead of simply taking, we'd find an equilibrium between what we were able to give and what we needed to take.
Simply put, if you were to look at our list of priorities, at the very top of that list would be you. Our relationship with you, whether you're trusting yourself to our guidance and care or are simply drinking one of our tea blends, is of the utmost importance to us. If we were to exploit that relationship for personal gain, our "tribe" would rapidly become unbalanced - the absolute anathema to the entire concept of holistic healing.
We live the path we walk. For us to truly be healers, it's not enough to simply guide you to a place of wholeness. We need to live the philosophies and concepts that we're offering, we need to be the epitome of the healer's path.
Which is why we sell our tea by weight, rather than volume. It's why we put the care we do into each bar of soap. It's why we take a personal interest in your healing, why, when you come to us, we do more than simply accept your payment and offer you an hour or so of our time, wisdom, and remedies. You're part of our tribe - and as such, you're at the very top of our priority list.
